    @ 111K miles we redid the stabilizer bar and end links and installed four KBY MonoMax shocks. Bilsteins shocks are a well known brand. I think all should have been done 30K sooner.

    What shocks are you running?

    Like our new set of four KYB MonoMax. $225 to door from RockAuto.com so I hope they last for a while. The ride is awesome. A 5000 pound machine can pound the life of out shocks it seems.

    Ball joints

    We have the same truck and they are worn but do not make any sound but we did grease them. After 14 years and 111K miles I do not know if they are OEM or not but the dead shocks were OEM.

    We just did the shocks with KYB MonoMax and front stabilizer bar bushings and end links on the 2002 with 111K miles we just bought. It does need all ball joints, 8 bushings and tie rod ends before it is aligned. They are still safe but have a lot of wear. I think the worn shocks may have caused...

    front strut

    At 111K miles we replaced all shocks with the KYB MonoMax which are awesome over the dead OEM shocks. It is a used truck and our first Dodge 1500. I think weak shocks causes more wear on other suspension parts since the truck needs all of them replaced.
