    This sounds like pretty good advice, however I would suspect if it's running that kind of temp and acting up when it does...some damage has probably already been done or at the very least long-term longevity has been compromised.

    Cliff Klavin fact, 2wd shares same front end parts as 4X4 with airbags, same upper, lower control arms, spindle and hubs. If you look at your bearings they will have slotted holes for the CV shaft even. Non-airbag 4X4 use same bearing and upper control arm, different spindel and LCA.

    4 low for sure, you can get more than enough speed up and much easier on the truck to use the lower gears. You can do over 30 mph in 4 lo, btw.

    I'd try another shifter switch, they are less than 100 on ebay and take all of 10 minutes to swap out. You don't need to have them programmed either, swap and go, 2wd and 4wd use the same switch but you'd have to re-use the bezel and 4wd buttons if you pick up a 2wd switch. I know, warranty...

    Take a peek under your bumber, my '14 is bolted to the frame. They look like you could hang the truck from 'em, pretty stout. Course mine is a 1/2 ton, and the video is a bigger truck so maybe they are different.
