    2018 Quad hedlight alternatives?

I happened upon these on Youtube, I'm gonna give them a try... https://www.diodedynamics.com/low-beam-led-headlight-for-2009-2018-dodge-ram-non-projector.html Made in the USA and $150 for the pair. 6-8 week back order so it's gonna be a while.

    Power Wagon Winch Cable

Yea it's the tension of the initial 5-8 wraps that holds the cable on the drum. The bolt is just there to keep it from falling off if you unwind it completely.

    6.4L Oil and MS-12633

This is the same guy who said the cams are junk because they are only $85... Anyone credible blow up their engine not using PUP? LOL

    2018 Quad hedlight alternatives?

I have a 2018 2500 with the quad halogen headlights and they suck beyond belief. I known the canbus and PCM system is really picky in these 2018's. Anyone got any recommendations for improving these? (* and the title should read "headlights" :) )

Do any of you miss your Cummins?

Nope. Love the 6.4L it's a GREAT engine. I'm getting about 15mpg's combined driving hand calculated and that's with 4.10 gears (and 14,000 miles and summer gas.)

    New 6.4 Hemi question

I have 14000 miles on my 2018 Power Wagon so far and have been using Castrol 0w40 made in Belgium since 500 miles. It may not be Chyrsler certified but it's a true group IV syn and the engine seems to like it a lot. I was getting it at Mallwart, but they stopped carrying it so I'm gonna order it...

New 6.4, 4000 miles/a quart low on oil???

Thanks everybody. It was just a little different behavior than my last one and I wasn't sure if it was really a problem. I'll just keep an eye on it and see where I'm at when i get to 15,000. This truck has really seen light duty so far so that might be part of it. Mostly HW and 65mph, few...

New 6.4, 4000 miles/a quart low on oil???

So I just did an oil change at 5000 miles and my oil was a quart low before the change. I have noticed a little (small) puff of blue smoke on start up and have been wondering... I changed the oil at 1000 miles and put in 7 quarts. The dealer tech guy says the 6.4's take a long time to break in...

New Power Wagon, Oil filter looks tough to change.

I do mine at around 500, and then at 3000, and then 3-5000 thereafter. Oil and filter with Castrol 0w40 made in Belgium. For me it's not the oil breaking down that's the problem, it's the dirt and crap in the oil. The only way to clean it is to change it. I have other reasons for such a short...

Anyone worry/consider the resale value of the Powerwagon??

So with that track record, whats your oil interval change and synth or conventional??? :)

New Power Wagon, Oil filter looks tough to change.

Turns out it wasn't an issue at all. I have a Harley Davidson cap filter wrench that fit perfectly and the OEM was easy to unscrew. The new M-1 filter went on without a hitch as well. It's hidden but not in-accessible. :)

When to buy a Power Wagon...

Well, I am becoming a curmudgeon. I ABSOLUTELY HATE all the electronic radio/audio/phone crap they are putting in trucks these days. I also dislike the new "Guppy face" grill. So the Tradesman with the power Wagon package with clearance lights gets me everything I want and nothing I don't for...

When to buy a Power Wagon...

I think finding a decent dealer is more important then when you order it. I ordered a 2018 PW on Oct 10th, MSRP 52K and bought it for $46K 11-12% off MSRP is a fair deal, and you should be able to get that any time of year from a decent dealer.

    Dual Battery & large alternator

Not sure I believe them. I would go to Autozone and take a look at both and see if they are the same size. Bet the 220 is the same size with just more wire windings inside or some such thing. I'd be really surprised if the 220 made that much of a difference. But thats just a guess, I could be...

    Dual Battery & large alternator

I tried to get the 220 Alt but I added it as an afterthought and it's the only thing I didn't get so I'm stuck with the 180 for now. I assume you can just swap them out if you want to... And just a thought, your alternator is 5 years old, maybe it's not up to 100%? Or maybe your battery is...

    Any thoughts on Diff fluid?

Any thoughts or ideas regarding the best diff fluid to run with the lockers? Mobil 1 LS 75w90? Red Line 75w90? Probably all would be OK, I'm wondering what would be optimal.

New owner of 2018 Power Wagon

The 504813's are fog beams, low and wide. The others are more like your high beam headlights. Personally, I think low and wide is much more useful and you can use them without blinding other drivers. The other ones can only be used when there are no oncoming cars like your high beams. (Unless...

    Noise when towing trailer

If the cylinder shut down is disabled in manual and it's still doing it then I'd take that back to the dealer because it proves they are wrong and need to try again. Or try another dealer if you can.

New Power Wagon, Oil filter looks tough to change.

Front bottom pass side of engine. I had a 2017 2500 6.4L, so I knew where it was already. It's real easy without the sway bar and winch in the way. If you reach your hand up between the sway bar and winch, back about a foot you can feel it. It's directly above the little plastic pan with the...

New Power Wagon, Oil filter looks tough to change.

Ordered Oct 10th, picked up Nov 29th. It's awesome. Not sure about the oil filter though. I guess the best way and maybe the only way is between the winch and say bar? Anybody do it differently? It's doable, but you can't even see the thing. Prolly let it drain A LOT before trying to extract...

    New "Black Pocket" OEM Wheels?

So the old silver Power Wagon OEM wheels were forged aluminum and pretty expensive, and seemed to have a good reputation. I was wondering if the new "Black Pocket" ones are still forged and as zippy as the old ones or did FCA cheapen them up? Anyone know?

New owner of 2018 Power Wagon

The Rigid fogs are great, just not as wide as factory. But if you install 2 of them per side which is the way I think it works, then maybe you can spread the beams out. My last Tradesman didin't have fogs and the headlights suck, so I mounted 1 set of the Rigid fogs on the bumper and they helped...

    Power Wagon vs reg 2500

You cant add the winch to a regular 2500 6.4L because the winch mount won't fit because the frame is different.

    3500 6.4 3.73 or 4.10

I didn't want the Cummins, the EPA emissions BS has ruined them and I don't tow much. My HD is really just my daily driver and I do go off road for firewood etc. I picked up the 4x4 with off road package and really really like the 6.4L with the 4.10 gears. But, I figured if I'm going to get...

    3500 6.4 3.73 or 4.10

4.56 gets BRUTAL gas mileage. My 2012 Power Wagon averaged 12.3 hand calculated over 13,000 miles. I remember getting 4 mpg towing my 3500 pound 16 foot camp trailer. It was disgusting. Why I sold the rig actually. I am much happier with the 4.10's and the 6.4L. I am getting around 14.5...
