    Front sway bar end links not bolting?

    Call me stupid, but this nut will not screw on any further and needs to go down about twice as far to get secured. It threads on by hand to that point in the picture and then it is done. This is happening on both sides. All threads are good on the bolts and end links. What am I missing here?
