I guess if I was worried about garage access I would put a wifi enabled switched outlet on the opener. Power down the opener when u are done in the garage.
good to hear it is a warranty item. i tried calling the dealer but the service desk was too busy with people to take the call. got to bring it in for an oil change in a couple weeks so will get it looked at then.
ok on the hperflashing, have had that before on the old incandescent lamps in...
So the front turn signal is missing two leds by the looks of it and now flashes fast on the dash.
Anyone have an aftermarket source for a direct replacement of just the LEDs? A quick google is not turning up what i want? any idea what the dealer wants for them, I assume this is not covered...
I've had bedliners and drop in plastic liners. the problem i found with the spray on liners is if you put anything in the bed you have to shovel out, you wind up scraping the liner. if you put firewood in the back you wind up denting the bed. I prefer the plastic liners.
I had mine sitting on the rails on my 08 and never a problem. didn't get it put on my 15 as it was a short box and i didn't want it hogging up all the room. never read the manual on the 15 so don't know if that is a problem for that year. have to look into what the support kit looks like for...
I already have a over the rail toolbox. I may just put some support under it to keep the weight off the top rail of the box. mine has never sagged but it is a thicker tool box and I don't really load it up.
NOTE: If you are installing a Toolbox, Ladder Rack or
Headache Rack at the front of the Pickup Box, you must
use Mopar Box Reinforcement Brackets that are available
from your authorized dealer.
from page 201 of the 2017 manual.
installing the rack is not the problem. I thought I read somewhere that the box cannot hold the weight of a toolbox without extra support pieces. just relooking in the manual and can't find that info. will have to try and find it tomorrow.
I want to put a back rack and tool box on my truck but I see I have to put a strengthening piece on the box now. does anyone have an aftermarket source for these or do I have to pay the dealers exorbitant price? anyone install them and have pics?
what kind of aftermarket did you get? i am trying to find one that the tube is not visible but can't find one yet for my 2017 or even one listed for 2016.
yea mine doesn't show one in the optional equipment. neither did the other truck. my friend that works at the dealer just emailed me back to say it was a dealer add on, on the other truck, apparently most of the trucks on their lot they add them on. guess I will have to really walk around...
Just negotiated a new truck and get it home to find out it doesn't have a class IV hitch receiver. didn't really pay particular attention (my fault) when nego. for it as I looked at another truck that was supposed to be it's twin. the twin had running boards and mud flaps which i didn't want...
