The vast majority of my driving has been towing our 5,000 lb. travel trailer. Mileage has ranged from 12-15 mpg depending on hills, headwinds and the like.

We just returned from a 2,000 mile trip without the trailer. On several occasions, the projected range exceeded 500 miles.

The last 950 miles showed 21.4 mpg. This is the same route we have taken 3 times before with the trailer. For those trips, we filled up about twice as often.

I am pleasantly surprised.

This without 33 gallon tank? My ‘22 regularly projects 650 miles. Then I start driving and it realizes it’s thirsty. I’ve only seen it better than 20 once. 3.21 4x4

22 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport Hemi. I have 22000 miles, I have a 55 mile commute from an elevation of 500' up to 3500' and down to 2000', and them back. I set the cruise at 55 and averaging 20 mpg at the pump. Computer says up to 22 mpg and a range between 640 - 680 when I fill up. Once it hit 760 DTE.

I couldn't be happier with the truck

It is a Laramie eTorque 4x4 Crew Cab 5’7” bed with 3.92 and standard tank. Also has a SmartCap on the bed.

Driving back and forth from So Cal to Vegas several times, I normally see about 21-22 MPG on my 5.7 3.92, so we probably have similar driving styles. These things are no priuses but then again, I don't think anyone buys a truck with gas mileage in mind. However, I can't complain, this things gets better gas mileage than many of my previous vehicles.

No etorque. 33 gallon tank. On a trip from Redding to Weaverville to Reno and back to Redding. 3/4 of a tank. 21.6 at the pump.

I drive with the cruise control set at the speed limit, and I usually am able to walk away from almost anyone when the road gets curvy

Mileage fine. Only variation would be rear end/E Torque. Numbers comparable to my 2019 DT Bighorn with 5.7L, 3:21 rear and NO E junkola. added: When I tow, I am pulling a 2,150lb Stock loaded with hay, so U talking 6-7000 lbs total, and my mpg is right around 12 ish. I do have more aggressive tires, Falkens, but other than that, stock.

I almost always got 19-21 on the highway at 70-75 with my 5.7 4x4 ccsb 1500 laramie with 3.92 rear end. had the 33 gal tank and often saw range of over 600 miles. if the wife hadnt wanted a 5th wheel I would still have that truck

I haven’t taken a true long highway trip yet, going to Lake George next month from Buffalo which most of the stretch is 65 mph highway which I will do 70mph or so on for at least 200 miles straight so that will be a nice test for fuel mileage.

we use my truck for most of our trips even when not towing because it is roomier than the wife's infiniti and pretty comfortable and gets decent mileage on the road. also because my wife packs like we are moving so we end up taking a lot of gear. my 1500 laramie was so nice a ride that I once drove straight thru from Sheridan, wy to ft. worth..over 1100 miles. I had planned to stop in Raton or Dalhart but got in a groove and just kept going.

I ran straight through from Central TX to an hour west of Charlotte, 18 1/2 hours. 1280 miles in my RAM. Was a lil tuff as I am an older "BOIRD", but the ride was great and 20-21 mpg on Highway was nice. I get a lil less mpg with Falkens on truck now, but what the hey. But yep, if U buy a HEMI RAM worrying about mpg is an exercise in WTH, IMHO...

that's a long way. I dont worry too much about the mileage..it's a truck after all, but am often surprised that it does so well and has so much power. I dont brag much about the intown mileage..3.92+5.0 first gear not good for stop and go. mine had the Falkens and they were great tires for me. my '22 laramie 6.7 2500 has the transforce tires that feel like they are made of wood or something. I keep em aired down unless towing.

Looks like there is a big difference in mileage between the 5.7 and 6.4 with similar gears. I understand the larger the engine would equal less mileage but 6-8 mpg vs 12-15 towing is huge. Is there something I'm missing? Maybe the difference between the 1500 and 2500 weights?
