You wouldn't get maybe more than $100 for the stock hood. I think its better just to keep it in case you decide to sell your truck or it gets in an accident and you could just put your stock hood back on and sell the SRT hood and make some $$$

Kinda what I was thinking.

Well as long as they don't drag me into an insurance fraud scheme if the **** hits the fan, I don't care what they do with the old one. LOL

Nah ... my local guy is cool as **** . He painted my flares , hod , and bike . He lives down the road . I didnt have a place to store the old hood so we worked it into the deal . Took off 200 bucks for it . He owns a auto body shop and they do collision repair , he said he can use it since it was in mint condition on a truck that needs one and he just bills there insurance for a new one . He makes a few bucks on it . Small town stuff .

Don't the CTD model have a tall hood option?

No its not a different hood on the CTDs.

Dodge used the same hood for ALL trucks 02-08, whether its 1500, 2500, 3500, 4x4, 2wd, V6, 4.7, 5.7, 5.9, 5.9 CTD, 6.7 CTD, RCSB, RCLB, or QCSB. Did i miss anything? lol

I thought I saw two different hoods on CTD's, the standard and another that was a little taller.... Maybe it was a aftermarket hood?

ALL the SRT hoods are the EXACT same. No difference like Aaron said. If you saw a taller hood then it was after market.

Just looking at my hood and a lot of hoods on here, I don't see any difference in height.

Will chime in and also say the hoods are all the same. When I had mine put on the painter test fit it on his 2500 CTD and bought one the same week.

to confuse it even more..........the 4th Gen 1500s have 2 different hoods. The 2500s have another. No difference in the 2500s on the engine size though.

bump. gonna start listing on other forums soon

i also have it listed locally. Had one guy come and look at it. He said (and i quote) "Well Sh** that aint bad at all. The damage looks WAY worse in the picture". I told him i did that purposely so there were no surprises. He was gonna come get it the next day, then ironically ended up getting in a minor fender bender so he's gotta pay for other stuff instead of the hood. I cant get any luck haha

I have been interested since the start but would be a hassle for Aaron and $$ to get it up here and in the end would prolly cost me same as a new $710 one.

As for the damage, it looks minor and a quick home shop fix!
