09 Backup camera issues

Recently installed an oem backup camera in my 09 1500 had the vin updated and it doesn't work. Been to multiple dealers all with different reasons. Most recent is Dodge didn't offer a backup camera in 09 so the radio can't display the data. If this is the case shouldn't be a simple software update? and if so any ideas as to where to get it?

Which radio do you have? You would need one of the touchscreen radios like the RBZ or REN for the camera picture to be displayed.
