4K lbs-2k miles no problem. 5’ 2x6’s stacked to level on both sides supporting the weight so it’s not half on tailgate.

I know it looks sketchy, but I researched and couldn’t find any solid info on what kind of weight Ram tailgates could take so I did this to help others

i can't imagine getting very far down our main highway in Alberta without getting some kind of ticket. lol. is there a flag on that, for one? LOL. speaking of scales..my Hungarian boss has a sense of humour I don't get sometimes. when i got a new transit connect last year with a ****** added he told me i should take it to the scale nearby and weight it for how much load we could carry. so i did (he said you took it to the scale? so maybe he was funning me) anyway, it was funny cause the officers manning the scale see my little transit pull up in the middle of a bunch of semis and stuff for a weigh. i rolled down the window and said, "my boss wants to know how much i can carry..just passing through". they laughed.

Yep it was flagged on both corners and I made it through Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri chicken coops
