14 express premium cluster upgrade

Ok, here is the deal I got from my local dealer. 225.00 to set cluster and 125.00 to install. The SM told me that I could just install it myself if I left the truck there for the 3 days it will take to get the cluster back and they would still sign off on the paperwork ensuring my warranty and DMV records would be clean and intact.

He also told me I could purchase a brand new on for 345.00 plus the 225.00 to set it, with no core charge. I wish I had known that before I bought the used one for 250.00. I would have spent the extra 95.00 and had piece of mind knowing it was under warranty. Lesson learned, anyway from what I read 225.00 is a reasonable price. I think I will put it in the truck and test it first, then off to the dealer I go.

Well you got lucky. Because I don't recall anybody else that was able to accomplish anything with the dealer without getting a second mortgage on their house to pay for it and offering up a 7" EVIC cluster as a core or pay a hefty fee if you didn't.

I totally would like to have mine programmed, but I drive so sporadically I can't really guestimate what to put on there.

If I could find a place where I could go in there and have it done, same day, that would be sweet.

Can an upgraded cluster be used in a 2011 Express as plug and play and all guages functional? I would really like the upgraded dash for looks and functionality, but dont care much about the things such as tire sensor reading, gallons til empty, etc if they dont work.

You'd have to use a 3.5" premium cluster from 09-12 truck as they use different plugs as the 13+.

It's pricey. 300 to reset/change the mileage/drive hours/idle hours. 24 hour turn around once they receive it.

I can't wait on 20k miles. I'm waiting on another member who supposedly has one with 900 miles on it to get back to me. I can wait 600 miles.

I've got roughly 5k. I Can probably wait that out, considering how much I drive at times.

It's insane to me how hard it is to find this part. eBay consistently has nothing. Car-part abounds with incorrect listings, like 2 supposed 7" clusters from LKQ currently on there that they sent me photos of and turns out they are 3.5". While the one in Texas they are asking way too much for
