Hey everyone just joined so this is my first post. I have a 2014 ram sport 1500 crew cab was wondering if any one can help me out i want to run the bilstien shocks at 2.8 up front with mevotech upper control arms. Anyone have any good or bad things to say about that setup? Also will it fit 20x10s on 35x12.5. Thanks for the help

Welcome to the forum!

A lot of people run the Bils and the Mevotech control arms and they are a great combo. However there's been some people who have vibration while in 4wd with that setup due to te CV joint angle. Most people have alleviated that problem by dropping the Bils down to 2.1". Just something to keep in mind. A lot of people do run the Bils at 2.8". That's the beauty of them, you can adjust the height.

As for the tires, I'm not sure but someone else might know.

I'd go with Bills at 2.8" and forget about the Mevotechs. The stock UCAs work fine with the Bills, there are lots of us running that set up. At 2.8" the trucks also look better with a small spacer in the rear - something else to consider.

20x10 wheels? Need the matching 6" lift for that set up :naughty:

I was just about to ask that question myself. Don't mean to hijack your thread OP but I think we're both looking for similar answers so hopefully I'm not imposing. I am putting on some Rancho QL's which I'm assuming will raise it up to about the same level as the the OP's Bils at 2.1. I plan to do either a 3" BL or a 4" SL at some point in the future so I was hoping to do wheel/tires that would work for both setups. I had my heart set on 20x10's w/ 35x12.50 tires, are you saying that's not possible with just a 2" level? If not, what is the biggest tire I can run safely?

Yes it will fit 20x10 rims. I ran 35x12.5r20 trail grapplers with fuel 20x10 -24 offset rims off just bilsteins at 2.8.

Not sure about that tire. But when you're trying to fit a '35' on the stock wheel without spacers, it all comes down to the brand and tread you pick. A true '35' that's 12.5" wide will never fit, but some brands undersize their tires. Seems like it's usually the cheaper brands.

Some have put 35's on and didn't require a spacer, but mine needed a spacer to fit on. Plus they still rub

I have a level and 3" body lift on 35's. I've got the stock 20's (9" wheels +20 offset) and 1.5" wheels adaptors (make the offset -12).

I rub with this set up. Had to trim up the factory flares but I still hit the mud flaps and wheel well liner.
