Howdy! I am having trouble getting clearance to install a new right front axle in a 2007 1500 with 5.7L. Took out the old one without removing steering knuckle. I am needing about 1/8th" more space to slide the axle onto the differential shaft. Anybody have this problem? Do I HAVE to remove the upper ball on the upper control arm to steering knuckle to get that space? Please say no! LOL. Customer says truck recently went into ditch. No body damage. Can frame/suspension parts been set out of whack with a run into the ditch? I really would like to just "slide it on" like the parts folks suggest... but I don't have the room. Thanks ya'll...
