There are a few threads on this somewhere. The owners seem to be pretty happy with the engine. You'd have to do a lot of driving to pay the difference of the engine cost with fuel savings though

it was 120k miles when i calculated it out when i bought my 14, and that is just to break even on the initial purchase cost, not including the added maintenance costs

no way am i going to own a dodge product beyond its 100k warranty LOL

i really wanted a ecodiesel so i could lift it and not loose horrible MPG, but took the hemi instead

My 2014 was an ecodiesel, really liked the motor a lot. Never got less than 22 mpg in town. Best hwy was 31 mpg. I trade out every year or two, and wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

Yea I got the hemi now on the interstate cross country I'll get 15mpg to 18mpg with the dirt bike and equipment then if I pull my trailer i get 8 mpg and that's doing 75 to 80 mph abd heck my truck is 5 years old now with 147,000 miles and never had a problem just think a diesel will be better for the amount of traveling i do with pulling a trailer

Go to you tube and look up "Mopar Eco Diesel".

This owner has over 120K miles and tows around 7k lbs almost every day of the week. This is in the Wasatch mountains, Salt lake City to Green river Wyoming.

He has done some modifications but it is mostly stock. Some great videos on the 3D and his maintanance techniques.
