I found a shop in Los Angeles on Instagram read the message that they sent to me and tell me what you think $1500 for both axles seems too good to be true?

I don't see where it says it's for both axles so be sure to clarify. Also, it says their regular price is 1500 and this is a promo. So, is it less than 1500? Hell, for that I might drive to LA from Oregon to have mine done :)

Sounds too good to be true to me. gear kit alone (with bearings etc.) are probably ~$1200 give or take

.
They mentioned they are a wholesaler. So maybe I get the parts for cost and they just make the labor?

50,000mile part warranty and 90 days labor.

Any gear change should not nclude a cover pop and inspection at 500 miles. I'd make sure I hung around local a day or two, get the inspection, then motor on.

If you do it let me know how it goes. I’ll make a drive to Cali from AZ for that price lol.

Rebel Off-Road in South OC was offering a similar deal for a front and rear Dana 44/44 or 30/44 gear change.

I would have been happy with the $2,500. Since I had to have the front carrier changed out too mine was closer to $3,200. :( They sound like they have a good reputation. I would jump on it. You will not regret how much better it pulls & shifts.

I had my Gears changed for less than $1,500.00 out the door!!! I drove 3 hours and stayed overnight in a hotel also. This was C&M Gearwork, Gears and drivetrain is all they do and are a top AAM dealer. I think a shop that does Gears everyday have better rates as they are already set up and buy wholesale volume!! JMO

Wow! They must get really good deals on the parts. From everywhere I have researched the gears, install kit, & oil alone costs that much.

theres no carrier break on the newer ram axles so ive yet to figure out why some poeple have said they changed carriers. unless it has something to do with using a older model carrier or aftermarket carrier in newer axles to possibly avoid a spacer. i dont know. all i can say is do plenty of research on the shop and the parts they plan to use. driving hundreds or thousans of miles back to the shop because they botched the job wont be fun

I definitely here what you are saying. I’m 2hrs away from their shop. They have been in business since 1992 so they must not have screwed up to much?

My Truck only had 6,000 miles on it when I had the gears changed so I saved on not needed complete rebuild kits. Just needed pinion bearings and seals. Took 7 hours for the gear swop and he stated that everything in the front and rear still looked new so...
