I have the belltech street performance shocks and they seem to soft. Whats the best shock for 2/4 drop thats more stiff? Lately my front is scraping wheel well alot more often now on the smallest dip.

If you are running 285/45/22. Those are approximately 32.1 inches tall.

If you drop to 285/40/22, the tire will be 31 inches tall. It. Should not rub except maybe at high speed.

Especially with the 2inch drop you have.

I have a 4inch drop it front and with a 31 inch tire it will rub occasionally but only at high speed (high speed being defined as in excess of Texas, Nevada or Montana interstate posted speeds).

Did you look at the shock recommendation?

there 305/45/r22. when first installed , i had to raise back up an inch cause any bump or dip it would rub. Been fine since then till recently. But now I wonder if my coils are worn out now. Not sure if thats a common thing or not from belltechs kit

Not common for springs to wear out.

305 is 32.8 inches tall. Dropping to a 285/45/22 will probably cure the issue.

285 40 22 will cure the issue.

Your front tire size in 305 is OK for stock height but not lower

That could be part of your issue. However your post are ignoring the fact you are running 305s in the front which is larger than stock and you took 2 inches out of your suspension.

Unless you have a broken spring, it's doubtful, you will solve an oversize tire problem by addressing symptoms.

I've ran this setup for a year, same size tires since 2016. Something is just off and bottoming out easier. I'm replacing shock.see if that helps. Main question is should I change both sides like brakes?

I have a 2014 RT with a 2/4 drop on it and I am running 305/45/22 and there is no reason for them to bottom out or rub when you hit a bump or dip. They will touch the sway bar at full lock a little bit though.

What shocks you running up front, stock, kyb, bilstein, qa1s or Vikings? Or something else.? To achieve this.

285 45 22 rubbed through my fender liner with a 4 inch drop.

At 2 inches down, no rub. With 285, but 305s hit inner fender As well.

Just curious

My RT is a 2014 as well
