Yes I will be taking pix and will post them, then in the fall when I slow down for the season I will make a DIY.

Lot's have issues with the CAD system, me I have never had one problem with it. Lot's also go to the posi lock cable system, you might check that out. The posi-lock gets rid of the vac stuff and replaces it with a cable.

Edit: I need to see your upper ball-joint in a pix to say yes or no if you can do this. The diff must be 99 or under to do this swap. If you have the BOM number off the diff that would also help me out.

Painted my grille becuase the chrome had some wrinkles

I'm assuming you peeled the chrome off before painting it right? I've tossed around the idea of doing somethin similar to mine but I kind of like the chrome grille on mine so I haven't done it lol

yea you find a place to start then use a razor blade to keep starting the peeling lol. then i sanded it with 400, but if you arent going to use flake, you should be careful about getting scratches in the plastic, normal paint isnt as forgiveing as flake lol. and yea i like the chrome but i didnt like thew wrinkles/bubbles it had so i had to do this, ithink its just as flashy, my mickey thomspson wheels have rings, (there classic lock) and i painted em the same way with pinstrip in the letering.

No return on the BOM number search. It looks to be a 98-99 Dana 60 as it has the newer style sway-bar brackets. This diff can have the Ford parts used on it.

Edit; Looks like an NV3500 5spd has been installed. Or did this truck also get a motor swap at one point?

In the engine bay says 318, so I got a rear main for a 318 wouldn't fit, tried a 360 and it fit, the block also says it's a 360. Came with the nv3500 stock I think or they did a good job switchin it to manual

The NV3500 never came behind the 5.9 to weak of a tranny for that motor. The 5.9 would have had the NV4500 behind it and was not offered in a 1500.

So motor transplant then.

NV3500 isn't too bad since Hahns5.2 is running that behind a boosted 318 that makes way more power than the stock 360 does.

Yes he does but that is in a lightweight Dakota, not a full size 4wd with big tires. I can get NV3500 cheap like borsh up here. I would not, have not even once thought of using one in my truck.

Yea motor swap, so do you know about how much doing the swap I the axle would cost? Becuase I think to me it's worth it if it's not overly more expensive than to fix this axle. I'm willing to do the work tho

It depends on what the used Ford knuckles and such cost and if you go new for the rest of the parts. It could be very cheap to about a $1000.
