I have went from a stock 2007 Ram SLT rwd I purchased used in 2012 with 55,000 miles. I now have 66,000 and have removed the stock wheels and chrome step bars and added some new Ballistic wheels, black step bars, Rancho RS5000 series shocks front/rear and a Readylift 2.5“ leveling kit. Looking for my next project, any suggestions.

Change up your fog lights/Headlights/tails/3rd brake light. Debadge it. Color match your bumpers. Tinted windows. New tires. Exhaust.

Chrome removal would fit well with the rest of your mods. Paint/powdercoat/dip the grille and bumpers, then I'd open the headlights and black out the shroud or just pick up a set of Depo housings.

Nice truck, I replaced my tail lights with LED tail lights, and added a tailgate LED light bar. I have also installed a backup camera, due to the long length of my short bed Ram QC 1500. I have 61K on this 07' Dodge Ram. I am more into performance, so I installed a K&N CAI, Flex-a-lite E-Fan, Superchips Performance Tune +, and free flowing exhaust that exits on the right side, just in front of the rear tire. Wish you good luck in your future mods.

Does paint adhere well to the existing chrome? I have thought about having the chrome gone. I played with plastidip on the gas tank cover and liked the result but was not sure about doing a large area like the rear/front bumper.

You can make paint stick to almost anything if you do the right prep. I will paint small things or interior pieces myself, but I leave large exterior stuff to the pros because I'm a stickler for the finish.

If it was me, I'd look at getting the grille shell color matched to the white but have the cross-hairs and inserts black, IMHO it's the best looking black/white combo, but I understand that it's completely subjective. The black lights look great, and a white bumper would look good as well, I think black might make it look buck-toothed with the white upper valence.

Dipped my grill and badges on the truck. Unfortunately I ran out before doing the chrome bumper. Bought a set of halo projectors that should be here next week; will update when I install. uploadfromtaptalk1402581240665.jpg

Just installed the halo led projection lights. Still trying to figure out what to do with that chrome bumper.

Sweet lights. Where'd u get em. As far as the bumper goes I'd color match it. I made mine white. I left the front valence black and the fog light pieces black. Looks good in my opinion

Got them from ipex motoring, under $200. So far no issues but only 60 day warranty. I do like that look I have just not liked the plastidip look. Probably going to pony up and buy the sport bumper, primed grill and primed rear bumper.

Projection headlights started leaking so sent those things back, buying a set of factory looking smoke heads and going to silicone those. Did add some SRT10 replicas though.

Finished for now. Blacked out all chrome and badges, added black headlights. Took off steps too.
