2012 2500 mds optional?

Bought a 2012 2500 st 5.7 hemi 4x4 a year ago. I assumed it would have mds but can't find any info on it. Was this feature optional? Love my truck and get decent mileage but wouldn't mind better mileage. Currently get 13-14 city 16ish highway. Mostly just curious at this point.

I think the 2500's still are not equipped with MDS, just the 1500's. any indicator come on your display pop with "eco"?

Maybe call the dealer with your vin and ask

Yep, the 2500 don't have it but the new 6.4 will have it I love mine also, I get about what you get but I haven't try it on the highway yet but Weday the wife and I are going to take a 140 miles trip.

That explains it. I didn't really plan to buy it but couldn't pass up the deal I got on it.

My 2500 6.4l has it but havent had it on the highway much. So far its similar in mpg to the 5.7 (12 -13city). It does kick into mds mode on flats and cruising around town.

I am really happy with mine. I gets the same as my 2004 1500 did, I think in part due to the 6 speed trannie. Good luck with the 6.4 and keep us posted on how you like it.
