So i have a 2013 ram single cab with the 6 speed tranny

Mods on truck

1.Vararam intake
2.catch can
3.Diablosport trinity tuner with "Hemifever custom tuning"
4.)limited slip differential. Upgraded gears from 3.55 to oem 4.10.
5.) ARH longtubes with cats.
6.Raceland electric exhaust cutout
7.3000 stall edge torque converter wich is going back in truck had to remove to get it cut and clean due to tranmission problem in the past but ready to get that converter back in.

So now my question is knowing all the modsi have. what size tires can i use for traction, with my stock tires seems i do not have a converter in their after 1500rpm tires start slipping so my takeoff is not good at all i want to be able to launch this baby on higher rpms i do have that 3000 stall i should be able to take off atleast at 2000 or 2500 rpm or even close to 3000???

I was looking at some tires but do not know if they fit i have 20"s on right now

The tires im looking at for this size rims are the
Nitto
Nt05R Drag radial
315/35R20

Some advice would not hurt
Correct me if im wrong
Thank you

The stock tire size with 20's is 275/60-20 which gives you a 10.83" wide tire, 33" tall. With the NT05R 315/35-20's you have shown there, you'd have a 12.4" wide tire, 28.7" tall. The tires would fit, and I've run the NT05R's in the past, they hook good, but what are you going to run up front?

Good to know great info...so knowing they fit now with torque converter launch should be able to be in te mid 2000rpms instead on 1500rpm correct because with stock tires after 1500 starts peeling out ...

Just trying to stay ahead at some 1500 rt's here locally
Overall im just trying to have a great launch cus my launch is bad

A TC with a 3000 stall should give you what you're looking for. If it's not flashing to 3k, then there's an issue with your TC. That being said, the NT05R's are going to significantly increase your grip.

Dont stall the truck up on the line. Just launch off idle and let the converter flash stall. This is how all of the fastest ram trucks launch, myself included. I have been cutting high 1.5-low 1.6 60' times consistently for almost 2 years now launching my truck this way.

As for tires, the Nittos should be fine. They are going to look pretty short on the truck if it is not lowered at least 2/4 though.

So dont rev before taking off just let it stay still and hit the gas when ready and tc will do its job????

Correct. The converter will flash to the RPM it was built for as soon as you go WOT. Trying to bring the truck up to 2000-3000rpm at idle will cause it to bog down after the initial launch making you run slower.

Your are going to need a 10.5 inch wide rim for that tire. The stock rims are either 8 or 9 depending or what rim you have.

I'm just an armchair racer, but wouldn't a smaller rim diameter allow you to have lower air pressure, increasing contact patch and thus more traction? Or is it not a factor with the amount of hp this range of truck is producing?

Contact patch is always an issue when drag racing, but drag radials are designed to perform aired up. You don't want to drop them down to 12 psi like a bias ply slick. Also, drag radials have a reinforced sidewall so you're not going to benefit a ton from a larger sidewall. There will be a little benefit running a 60 series over a 35 series, but not like you would have with a slick.

The best part of a smaller wheel diameter is the lower inertia of the lighter wheel.
