2014 - 1500 sxt

Hello !


I'm new on this forum. I just bought a 2014 ram 1500 sxt 4x4 fully loaded with the 5.7L ( Tow package, protection package, fog, limited slip diff, uconnect 5.0 , back up cam, power window package )

I had before a gmc sierra 2011 4.8L 2x4... Great truck but the 2x4 was a nightmare in winter and the 4 speed transmission is nothing but good.


I really love my ram, really , really, powerfull compared to the 4.8 in sierra. The truck is really smooth.

Now it's too cold here to do any mods so I will wait for the summer. I will probably do a 2" leveling, and paint in white the upper bumper part

Nice looking truck and welcome to THE RAM FORUM . I noticed you had a reply posted in the remote start for under a $100 thread . Don't take this the wrong way brother I'm not ******** , but check your setting on when to load to a thread ( beginning , first unread or end or something like that ) some people get a little upset when diff. people keep asking the same Q's..... Hey for what it's worth I've done the same thing ! If there has been a lot of traffic on a thread then someone has probably asked your Q's. I read though most comments before I post to try and keep from being redundant.. on a better note congratulations on your new truck ! Nice ride and plenty of power ! I think painting that front bumper area white would look great !

Welcome. I just joined recently myself. So far I have found lots of good info and ideas that I want to do with my new ram on here. Just got to wait for some warmer weather also. lol!!

This week the temperature is incredible. Tonight it's supposed to be -35 c° and the day it's around -20 c° there is nothing to do. I keep my hid from my sierra. I planned to install them but not at those temperature

Last winter we had like only 4 snowstorm during all the winter. This year we will have our 7-8th snowstorm this monday and it's only the beginning. I really appreciate my 4wd especially with studded tire.

Hid installed ... same kit I had on my sierra since 2 years. 35w 5000 k.
Only on low beam

Was that HID kit easy to install? Thinking about getting a kit for my 2013 ram.

It was kit from spencerhid.com


But really expensive with the premium lifetime warranty. But I got no problem with the warranty when one of my ballast stop working.

I got a " spare kit " that I used 6 month from eBay and got no problems. 50 $ for 2 ballast and 2 5000k bulb.

Really easy to install both kit and both worked flawlessly
