Mine came on about a month ago. I put techron in the tank, filled up the tank and sure enough once I passed 3/4 of a tank the gauge stopped working again.
I logged miles when I filled up and just lived with it for over a month now. Out of no where the gauge started working again and the CEL cleared. Hopefully it says off. I'm going to put another bottle of techron through the tank for good measure.

I have a 2015 1500 Limited 5.7l w/39k miles and just had the same code pop up. My fuel gauge seems to still be working though. I cleared the code today so we will see if it comes back... looks like 37-40k miles is the sweet spot for this issue.
