I made 15 MPG on a road trip while the roads were nice but hit two snow storms and threw fuel out the window... but 4X4ing was so fun...:)

Wow that mileage isn't good eh? In my father's 2013 F-250 I can get 27-28mpg all day long on the highway! Mind you its the 6.7L diesel and it has a bully dog tuner and intake. Before the tuner I'd get 23-25 mpg depending on my driving! In the city I get just over 15 mpg. Crazy how there's that much of a difference between gas and diesel! And don't even get me started on the power! Haha

I love my Ram but gosh when I hop in his truck it's hard to not want one of the new 250's! Gets way better mileage than mine, has more than double the ft. lbs of torque, and will pull an easy 6 second 0-60 on the middle tune level! Lol

After 1000 miles my 6.4 will get around 20 mpg set at 55 on fairly level pavement running on 87 octane not towing. That is about the same as my 2006 Ram 5.7 hemi . City driving not so good, maybe 12 or 13. I couldn't be more pleased..

Man. If I can get that, I will be smiling ear to ear. I was worried about the impact to my wallet going from my 2011 ram 1500 to this, but my 1500 reports around 18-19 mpg empty on the highway.

A few of us are posting our mileage on Fuelly. click my sig banner to see latest. I do lots of short trips 6-8 mpg on non highway, not stop and go, and the highest I get with that is 13. When I go on any highway trips I do see higher, but never enough to register a whole tank on fuelly. Towing, I am getting 7.5-8.5 over the coast range.

I am not sure how to read that site. Says my 2011 1500 avg is 14.9 on that site.
Your link for the 2500 says best mileage is 13.1. So possible to get close mileage .

Also, since that is a 2014 does that mean the vagus might be high as the engines are getting broken in?

If you go to the top level, and filter the histogram by gas engine, you'll see the distribution of averages.

2014 Dodge Ram 2500 MPG Reports | Fuelly

I'm sure it will improve as things break in, but I think a lot is terrain, and driving style. I have about 6 stoplights on my way to work, and I tend to give it the gas. There are other users who have posted > 16pmg tanks.

I have the 2500 Tradesman 6.4 4x4 and getting the exact same mileage range. I am in sales so my city (Houston) driving is short trips but recently made a trip to SC and got 16.8. I do have a heavy foot so it could be better but not by much. Looking forward to some minor mods to see how much / if those improve. Very happy overall. If I wanted superior fuel mileage I would have bought a Dart.
