I did the exact same thing too. Now I just get all my cheap LED's off ebay. I don't feel as guilty spending more money elsewhere for the same bulb.

About to order a pair of these, did anyone else have another option for brighter reverse lights and was it confirmed these cause a 'bulb out' indicator? Thanks in advance.

I changed my reverse lights with silverstars from o'reilly's and they are definitely better then the stock bulbs. They were $9.99
