Dealer cannot seem to eliminate vibration from the Goodyear Wrangler factory tires. replaced 3 tires and had to road force balance all 4 and still having issues. Anyone with similar problems. Is this just crappy tires or something else mechanical going on?

I doubt it is because of the tires. I would bet good money that something in the suspension isn't properly adjusted.

I know how you feel. I too have a 2016 Ram RCSB 4X4 with highway vibrations. And yes it has the Goodyear Wranglers too. Mine has been balanced four times. The last two were Road Force Balanced. Still vibrates.. If you find the fix please let us all know.
Oh, Good luck trying to get your Dealer to help, mine's Worthless..

I had a '15 RCSB and now have a '16 CC/6.4'. I developed highway vibration as my original GY tires got some mileage on them. It's been my experience if it is a balance problem, vibration starts to occur at 45mph and continue up to 75mph. Usually above that it will smooth out somewhat.
On my '15, I put almost 53,000 miles on it in the 19 months I owned it. Mostly highway driving. When it was new, didn't ever notice any vibration at highway speed. I'd say in the last 20,000 miles or so, vibration was pretty annoying at 65-75. At times if I went over that, vibration would get more pronounced.
When last November rolled around, I put my spare set of wheels with Cooper ATW tires on. Vibration was gone.
I probably put around 47,000 miles on the GYs. Tread wasn't wore out, but for some reason, they didn't seem "round" anymore. Also in that period of ownership, I had to replace 2 of the original GYs. 1 developed a high spot that I noticed while doing a tire rotation. I scrapped that 1. Another got a 1" break between the ribs and I scrapped that tire too.
On my new '16 CC, the new GYs don't have any vibration. Currently I'm running the Coopers. I feel that the GYs are not a high quality tire and if you have the opportunity, try a different set of tires.

Just bought a new 2016 1500 two weeks ago. Shakes like a leaf on a tree. I've taken it back three times already. Today a service tech took a spin with me and said "Yep, same problem we've seen before. Sorry but we can't fix it."

I called corporate to get a case started. No vehicle should be shaking at normal highway speeds. This should either be fixed or they need to provide a vehicle that doesn't shake.

I've already got some movement from Ram on the case. Just a matter of time before some type of resolution for it.

2016 1500 CC 4x4, been to the dealer about 5 times for the vibration now, they re-balanced the tires twice, it's better now than it was but its still present. Called FCA, they said any diagnosis is basically up to the dealer and wrote FCA a long email about my displeasure with my truck (the vibration is only one of a whole ton of things that my truck has had to go in for) and haven't heard anything from them.

Good luck

The smartest thing a new Ram owner can do is get different tires the next day after taking delivery of their truck.
Probably would take care of 99% of all this vibration crap we read about.

I had a 2013 ram that developed vibration at highway speeds. Road force balance fixed it. I traded it in for a 2016 ram, and I noticed the same thing within a week of owning it. I changed to hankook dynapro atm tires and havent had any issues. I dont think goodyear wranglers on a 20 inch rim is a very good option. I know some rams have had problems with the driveshaft causing vibrations at highway speeds too but its not very common. YouTube has some videos of it.

Mine had no issues until 62000 miles. 2015 model. Had new tires brakes and rotors. Still vibration. The tires were michelin So thought maybe something with those tires weren't agreeing with truck so went to new stock good years. Same vibration that is being described. Dealer said left rear axle shaft 4 thousands out at hub so they replaced it. Still vibrates. They swapped wheels and tires and said the vibration went to the brand new truck so said go back to tires company. Did they road force balanced and replaced one fore being 35 thousand out of round. Said rims are true. Still vibrates. Took to drive mine shop they had it for a week. Said they pick up the vibration in 2 wheel drive with wheels and rotors off. They think it is right rear axle shaft because they put it on a lathe and it is 11 thousand out. They also said they spun the drive shaft and front shaft and it is good. Took it back to dealer they replaced passenger side rear drive shaft. Still has vibration. It really feels like a drive shaft / u joint problem. But hard to keep guessing at this. Annoying for sure. Oh also had rear shocks replaced. No change.

To me it has to be drive shaft or u joints and with all the recalls the year before mine was made hmm? Or could it be the 5 link suspension set up is tweaked? Or loose mounts or pinion??... any advice?

My 2014 has developed this recently. Had the issue before but balancing the tires helped although it didn't completely fix the shake. The tires I have are Cooper HT plus. I've put around 30,000 miles on the truck since owning and the tires were not new when I purchased it. I am chalking it up to the tires getting low on tread and I plan to replace them in the next 10-15,000. Hoping that fixes the problem but after reading this thread I'm worried it isn't the tires.

After all this I don't think it is the tires. Anyone experience this and found a fix. I'm sure there are different fixes for the same problem people have discovered

With the drive shaft recall on 2014s and axle shafts on 2015 and 16s. Prb in their somewhere.

I'm also experiencing vibrations in my 2016 ram1500 4x4 at highway speeds. This is really getting out of control and I'm looking at who owners need to contact in order for Ram to acknowledge and fix the issue.
I'm starting to think Ram knows about this vehicle defect and but for some reason they refuse to address it.
If it is a result of factory Goodyear tires then this is still a defective part of my Ram1500 that Ram should address. I'm sick and tired of hearing that I should have to replace defective items on a new vehicle.
I figuer Ram and dealerships are delaying fixing the problem and pointing fingers at Goodyear in hopes that the factory tires wear down and they can claim "you need new tires"...

It's more complicated than just balancing the tires. Take a look at all the threads related to these vibrations. I've had mine balanced and a realignment on my Ram yet it still vibrates... (Neither was out of spec when they checked and they even dialed them in closer.... Still didnt fix the problem.)

I would suggest filing a complaint with the NHTSA when the vibration continues after balancing and an alignment. An unknown vibration could be the result of a major safety problem. Especially if the dealership can't figure out what is causing the problem.

I had a very slight vibration at 70 mph. The front needed an alignment. Went ahead and had the dealer balance the rear wheels before rotating them up to the front. I now have an obvious shake at highway speeds. I usually can feel the shake around 45 mph. After the vehicle is warmed up, I can slightly feel it at 25 mph. I had the tires balanced at a different shop and had the dealer re-do the alignment. The shake is still there.

Are all of you guys still driving around with the shake or did you find a solution and forget to provide a follow up? I'm really hoping it is the tires. They aren't worn enough yet to buy new ones.

I went through a similar situation with my 03 years ago. I ran 35's at the time . I bought a second set of Pro comp AT's and had a vibe in the upper 60 mph range. I had it for a little while before the new tires but wrote it off on needing tires. Had thePro comps rebalance and no change. Bought 4 BFG AT's , no different . Decided to try wheel bearings , no change . I managed to make a hole in the boot on the CV joint while removing the wheel bearings so during my test drive I threw grease every place. Next morning went to NAPA for an axle . That ended my vibes . About a month later a guy ran a red light and totaled that truck.
