I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Laramie with 17K miles. I’ve only owned it for a short a few months and I notice that the rear AC blower is very week. I can crank the air all the way up and the front is fine, but I can barely feel it in the back seat. Also my vented seats in the front seem to barely blow any air. Has anyone noticed this issue?

There is no blower for the rear, there’s only one blower motor. The air output out of the rear vents is a lot less then the fronts. Unfortunately just the way it is.

As for the vented seats, you should be able to feel a little bit of air coming out of them but that’s gonna be about it. The fans aren’t very big and the air has to go through the seat pad as well as the covers. They still do help on really hot days though.

To increase airflow on the rear blowers, you'll have to block off a couple of the front vents. Make sure the air is set to circulation and that air is directed to the noggin.

Thanks for the quick responses everyone. It’s somewhat disappointing but it sounds like it’s operating normal. I have noticed if I adjust to just the head and place on max AC, it works okay in the back, however, then it’s almost too much in the front. Something I’ll just have to live with.

Turn the horizontal air flow vent knobs towards the “X” and it won’t be to much in front which allows more air to the back. It won’t completely solve the rear ac issue but it helps.

Do not put leather treatment on your vented seats, it clogs up the perforations thus preventing the airflow.

Good thought, I already did this when I bought the truck. Aren’t there concerns with the leather cracking if you don’t use leather protector?

I use Weimans leather cleaner wipes on my heated/cooled seats and it keeps them looking good. No shine but it does remove dirt especially from the steering wheel. I haven't had any problems from H/C seats so it must be OK for that.

Have used Weiman's for years on leather. Very effective on the leather steering wheels.
Regarding the heated and cooled seats that RAM came out with. My neighbor is a "digital tech" at our local dealer. Has no tools. He wears a scanner harness and scans vehicles all day for codes, condition alerts and analyzes spec to operating condition. Way over my head. We all know that our trucks today are in fact big computers. Processors, code, language, circuits and circuit boards run all the functions and features. More computing power, function and features than our astronauts had in 1969. Over memorial day, he joined us for BBQ. The neighbors know he works for the local RAM dealer and he is a most gracious young man when they have questions about their vehicles. He said the number of complaints they are getting about the comfort seats "not working" is quite high. He and his factory tech support people have concluded that many people expect the function to work "better" than in fact it does. It is a complicated system that depends on many conditions and safety features to work "as designed" Inside conversations between the factory and service field often end with "this is one option RAM regrets" He understands the complaints as he agrees, the system is only designed to be adequate, not highly effective. My son's 2018 2500 Ford with leather option and heat/cold comfort seats, are no better.

I have noticed that my passenger side works way better than the driver's side, so am going to grab a steamer I have for straightening out clothes and a little brush and vacuum and go to town and see if I can improve it, unless someone has better ideas.

And the seats do suck in air I think rather than blow air out if I remember correctly, which would explain why its easy to clog.

You are correct in your thinking that the Cooled seat draw air through them. If air is blowing out then there's a problem.
