Just curious, but does anyone know if the Rebel bumper will bolt right on to our Power Wagon's? I really like that bumper and thr fact it offers more approach clearance for the wheels and has that front skid plate. I haven't seen it talked about before.

Based on looking at pictures I don't see why it wouldn't? But I'm sure there's something more behind the bumper which would need to be changed to make it happen, like tow hook location, etc.

I’d take a tape measure and get measurements for the frame, bumper mounts, height, width, and section difference in the middle of the bumper. If those are a match then go for it.

Funny, I have been pondering this for the last few months. Havnt dove much into it yet, but I do like everything about that bumper. Last time I was comparing (by pictures on the internet), it looked like there was an opening in just the right location for the winch line. Regardless, I would think that it would certainly be doable, but most like will require a bit of fabrication.

Anything is possible with enough time and money, but this strikes me as not worth it.

The lines won’t match up between the 2500 PW grill and Rebel bumper. If the Rebel bumper is plastic, there will be no easy way to cut it to fit the PW grill and have it come out looking good. If the Rebel bumper is steel, it will take a some fab work to blend the two.

PW and Rebel tow hooks are in different places.

It’s close, but it looks like the Rebel bumper opening might not line up with the winch fairlead.

I haven’t been able to find pictures, but I’m doubtful that the mounting brackets will be the same.

Use the rebel grill too, then it would fit the bumper perfectly :)

The tow hooks are different, so the bumper mounts most likely are too. The openeing looks about perfect for the winch line.

Not sure if it’s been done but what about trimming the PW bumper along the lower line? I’m not sure if it’s even possible. Kind of like this.

Ive looked into doing that. Theres just SOOOOOOOO much stuff back there. Going much above the plastic will be a lot of work.

There are def differences in locations and probably some modifications needed. However, I'm not entirely certain you'd need a different grill. If you look at those pics posted, the Rebel bumper it's got a straight across line like the PW bumper except in one area, the very center where the Rebel bumper has the hump. That small part on our trucks in the grill can be removed to accommodate the hump.

Also, if you look closely where the tow hooks and winch are on the PW and the same area on the Rebel, the plastic part on the Rebel bumper (the honeycomb and solid plastic ends) can be removed. So I think you could retain factory tow hooks. Of course, this is all based on just looking at photos. In person and measurements would tell more.

I think the real telling factory is everything behind the bumper and how it would mount up.

Again, all just based on photos

And the Rebel hood too? 2500 grills are taller too.

Haven't really looked into this project much with my son being born, but was just scrolling through some images of the SEMA Macho Power Wagon concept... Take a look at the front bumper. Looks exactly like the Rebel except the push bar and tow hook locations. 50ab3b589910027bba0d21a079a2d3af.jpg

Oh yeah, not even close to looking as simple as possibly just swapping bumpers.

And changed title to make it clear we aren't talking the 5th Gen
