I would ignore that notice, bogus........that being said, there should be a
filter someplace else along the frame rail or engine compartment as is normal
in most all vehicles. You don't have to go into the gas tank fuel pump.

Not on a gas powered Chryco product,whether car or truck.Chrysler /Dodge / Ram haven't had a factory fuel filter on any gas powered vehicle for the last 20+ years.You have a basic pancake sock / filter if you want to call it that, at the inlet of the fuel pump and that's it
