I have 2024 Laramie 2500 with Oem LED tail lights. I noticed anytime I put on the turn signal, it flashes red in the tail lights, and when I unlock the truck with the key fob, they flash red to. When braking it illuminates red. Did they change the Amber turn those to red in the rear in 2024, or do I have something else going on? Can’t seem to find anything about this, so wondering if I have an issue.

Tailights /rear turn signals have been red for quite awhile . My old 13 was red. Front turn signals have always been amber, and as far as i know, the rear turn signals have always been red,at least in my 50+ years of driving

The OEM LED tails on the 4.5th & 5th Gen trucks are supposed to have amber turn/hazards. MAYBE they changed them for 2024 MY???

Do you have pics of them in operation? Would be interesting to see....any of the new Generation trucks I've seen with the OEM LED tail lights have the amber turn/hazards.

I just checked all my toys, and even my old winter beater Buick Regal has red turn signals, same as my old 77 Ford, and 68 Camaro i had as a kid were red. Alot of countries mandate amber for both front and rear turn signals, but not Canada or the US,they're kind of the oddballs when it comes to mandating amber turn signals on the rear

Yes, most European countries have the requirements for amber turn/hazards, the last I knew the 4.5/5th Gens with the OEM LED tail lights have amber turn/hazards. Mine are. Unless RAM turned them all red now?!?? Which really doesn't make sense to me. Even the RAM OEM halogen tail lights have amber turn/hazards the last I saw.

You don't want to see it,lol. I owned it when it was new, traded it off to a dealer, then bought it back several years later to use as a winter beater. It had a couple first time teenage boys as drivers for the last couple years, before i bought it back for $175.00,after those 2 kids were done with it,it had been around the block a few times, lol.
The whole car is pretty beat,it was a write off from hail damage when i bought it back. The transmission is tired ,but once it's past first gear you can floor it,and the little supercharged 3.8 still pulls hard. I refuse to spend any money on it,but it still starts at -30 unplugged, and the heater and A/C still work good in it,in fact it's A/C being 134 is far superior to the A/C in my Chryco products that use that gold plated $h!tty 1234yf crap

My 2015 RAM has red rear turn signals but my 2022 (pictured) has amber rear turn signals. Older vehicles going back to 2003 had ambers (2003 Yukon XL) but a Buick I had was all red. Seems they go back and forth with the rear turn signal color.

My month old 2024 big horn with the LED upgrade package has amber turns. I see them when I remote start. 4th gen OE LED tails are red on turn as well as braking. I prefer the red honestly.

Amazing that I had to go check. You'd think you would know. I've had my tail lights removed several times.

Confirmed mine are amber.

I don't think it is this easy, to classify rear turn signal color by model year. Yesterday, while out and about, I saw GEN 5 RAMs with different-looking rear taillamp assemblies. Curious, when I got home I went to cars.com and started looking at pictures of 2019 RAMs 1500s (first year of GEN 5s). What I discovered is the trim level determined what color the rear turn signal would be, lending credence to wild one's observations. Laramie and up trims that received the LED tail lamps had amber rear turn signals, and lower trims had red rear turn signals as standard equipment.

While on cars.com, I looked at a few 2022 models of the HDs and the same rule seemed to apply, only the LED tail lamps had amber turn signals.
