It’s time to get new boots so curious on which route to go. The 235s are OEM but I kinda want to go a little wider but the 245s are a tad bit shorter. And the 265s are definitely wider but nearly same height. I tow heavy 90% of the time so what do you guys think?

Wow, stock is 235 on a 2500? I thought the 245 pizza cutters on my old Chevy were small. The bigger tires should have higher max weight ratings which is definitely a positive for towing. My stock were 275 70 17 which work great so you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing or anything. I guess it just depends on personal preference. I'd probably be leaning 265.

Yes I have a 3500 thick-tail now. I just want a little more contact on the floor bc most of my driving is highway but I do go off road every once in a while so I’m thinking the wider tires may help

265/70/17 is a common size and in e-load if needed and if they fit. Might be a better selection in that size.

265 isn't rated on a 6" wide rim. Not sure about the 245 but neither is a 255 rated for the 6" wide dually rims.

I wanted to go with the 255 on my 15. I was going to do it with the Cooper Maxx ST. It was just impossible to get Discount tire to mount them to my wheel since they call for a wider wheel. So i got in a bind and had to buy right away when my Nexens shifted and cracked open.
I am glad i went with the factory size. They look much wider than they are due to the side wall lugs. They just look better than the crap Nexens. When i got home they were aired to 65 cold in the rear. With the chalk test i found they were riding on about 2” of the center of the tire. I slowly lowered them until they contacted the road in a flat pattern. I ended up at 35 psi and an almost flat contact patch loaded with my every day tools @1200 pounds. This left me with a gap of only about 1/2”-3/4” between the tires. Had i gone with the 255 and had i lowered them to contact the ground flat they may have touched some without spacers.
