Yeah these trucks are really tall! I am 6'2" with long legs & monkey arms & I can't just jump in. I highly suggest step bars.
You guys with Amp Steps, do you have any problems with these when snow & ice gets packed under there? Or mud for you southerners.

Amps are to rich for my blood for what they are. Factory steps are great and we're already on the truck. Wouldn't spend that money of step personally

I am pretty sure with Ram- If u can show some type of disability or medical reason for steps needed they will include them for free- I read it somewhere on their website, And to my knowledge they are the only car manufacture to do this.

Yeah, steps are are a must have. At 6'4" and reasonably young and agile I couldn't imagine not having them. It's funny, when I went from my old 06 Chevy 2500 4X4 to my current Ram 2500 4X4 I changed the way I get in. The Chevy was low enough to put my right foot on the floor board of the truck and hop my butt into the seat. The few more inches of the Ram makes it necessary for me to put my left foot on the nerf bar and "step" up into the truck.

I'll ditto everyone else. 5'-16" tall myself, and found it inconvenient climbing up and down. As I use my truck on my farm and stack 40-50 bales of hay in the bed, I went for steps that have an open, perforated steel surface so the chaff falls through and I'm less likely to slip off. Quite happy with them.

Go with Amps, pricey but get the look of no steps, and the convenience of having them....

I totally agree, you will never regret getting them. It was a 700 mile drive home from the dealer. I had to stop and get a step stool for my wife for the trip home. A quick look on Amazon shows as low as $1229 shipped. Love the clean look.

My truck was on order by the dealer and hadn't arrived when i made a deal with them. So having test driven a few i knew i needed side steps right away and ordered some. They were delivered and waiting at home when i bought the truck home. I installed them the next day.

I love how tall my ram sits up though so i don't mind.
