Hey guys,

So I am finally in the market for new tires. Below are my high-level truck specs

Truck Specs:

2013 Ram Hemi Sport
4x2
3.21 gear ratio
20X9 stock rims which I am keeping

I am going to be adding a 2 inch front level for the tires & a Hemi Fever tune after the tires are on.

I am going with the Toyo Open Country R/T's. Here is my question(s).

- I cant decide between the 275/65/20 OR 33/12.5/20. Can anyone share pros/cons for each tire?

- I want to try and fill the wheel well as much as possible without rubbing Or adding a spacer. Which tire would be best for that?

- The 33/12.5/20 are about 7-9 Lbs heavier per tire than the 275's. Will that cause any issues with my current gear ratio?

- IF I go with the 275's will that cause issues with my 3.21 gears?

- Feel free to share anything else that would be helpful that I am not thinking about.

Thanks in advance for the insight! Looking forward to the comments

You want to fill the wheel well.. then go 275/65.

If you want to fill it less and have a wider tire, that could possibly rub sometimes, go with 33x12.5

Both tires will be fine with your gear ratio. The 33x12.50 is the same height as factory, just wider and heavier. The 275/65 is only about an 1-1.5" taller. From some angles the 33x12.50 will look better imo. But overall the 275/65 will the full the wheel well better

I have the same setup on my truck so I'll share my experience. 13 Sport 4x2 with 3.21 and the 8spd.
I put 275/65/20 Toyo at on a few months ago. Mpg went down about 2 in the city/ Highway about 1. I have a diablo canned tune and my truck is faster than it was stock. The biggest difference is the truck is quicker to down shift on the highway instead of holding the gear (especially when towing something).

Looks awesome! Did you experience any power reductions with the larger & heavier tire?
