Since hes lowered I think it should be okay. The lifted trucks have a higher center of gravity so when turning the center of gravity shifts a lot more than a lowered truck. Should be fine.

Ive herd scary things about wheel spacers... especially over 1"...

There's no issues with a good quality set of hub centric adapter type spacers (such as Motorsport Tech's BORA spacers). It's the lug centric ones that will give you issues.
