Resurrecting this thread because I’ve got the same question as OP (or perhaps rephrased as “what is a good tire size for me?”) This thread has some very helpful photos, so many thanks to all who posted.
I’m running 17x9 wheels, -12mm offset. I ordered Bilstein 6112 coilovers for the fronts, which I understand give up to 2.5” front lift, and in the rear I’m looking at gaining 1-1.5”
I’m thinking 34.5-35. Visually, they don’t look overstuffed to me, assuming the guys who posted pics had 2.5” in the front (from the descriptions I can’t always tell if im looking 2.5” leveling kit plus spacers are a kit offers 2.5” of total front lift). And I like the high sidewalls. Can anyone say if they fit in the rear with 1” of rear lift?
In terms of tread width, I want something that handles well both on and off-road (I’m not serious enough to have a separate set of tires/wheels for off-road.) With that in mind, 275 is probably too narrow. Maybe 295? What will stepping up to 315 on a 9 inch wide wheel do I’m terms of handling?
I appreciate any suggestions!
