My neighbor has 37's under his with a level kit. He will rubs a bit at full lock and, depending on the angle, on the very front of the tire as it passes by the bumper.

But that's rare and he's gonna trim things a bit.

My 15 Sport has 3" up front, 2.5" level kit. Running 20x9 XDs with 33x12.5.20's. I do tend to think they look a little too small, but never had an issue with rubbing, even at full turn. Just for the record tho, dont cheap out on tires like I did. Couragia Mud Terrrains. Absolutely TERRIBLE in rain or snow! All over the road, and very loud road noise. Gonna run a 6" in the spring, on 35s Probably TerraGrapplers or something similar. 36176001_10155865548073440_4039143221190721536_n.jpg

View attachment 128306 View attachment 128307 View attachment 128308 View attachment 128309 Just went with these 275/60 20 Goodyear Trailrunner AT’s and couldn’t be happier. I toyed with the idea of purchasing wider new wheels and tires for months and for once did the financially responsible thing due to not wanting to add the extra weight of a 10 ply tire that would adversely affect my gas mileage and overall ride quality. Anotger reason why I didn’t go wider is because I’m not really a fan of fender flares on Rams with a plastic front bumper. I also liked the look of the Chevy’s with factory Duratrac’s, but thought they were too aggressive for my needs. Either way I think these are the perfect addition to my daily driven Bilstein Lifted 2014.

Did you place spacers or stock height?

Can you get 37” tires under the 2500 ? Looks like you can....I just bought an 18 2500 the other day. I’m thinking about getting a 5 1/2 lift for it. Nice truck though.
Yes they'll fit. Sorry for the super late reply. These wheels are a -18 offset. I would say go with a zero to no more than a -12 offset

Resurrecting this thread because I’ve got the same question as OP (or perhaps rephrased as “what is a good tire size for me?”) This thread has some very helpful photos, so many thanks to all who posted.
I’m running 17x9 wheels, -12mm offset. I ordered Bilstein 6112 coilovers for the fronts, which I understand give up to 2.5” front lift, and in the rear I’m looking at gaining 1-1.5”

I’m thinking 34.5-35. Visually, they don’t look overstuffed to me, assuming the guys who posted pics had 2.5” in the front (from the descriptions I can’t always tell if im looking 2.5” leveling kit plus spacers are a kit offers 2.5” of total front lift). And I like the high sidewalls. Can anyone say if they fit in the rear with 1” of rear lift?

In terms of tread width, I want something that handles well both on and off-road (I’m not serious enough to have a separate set of tires/wheels for off-road.) With that in mind, 275 is probably too narrow. Maybe 295? What will stepping up to 315 on a 9 inch wide wheel do I’m terms of handling?

I appreciate any suggestions!

Hey Guys,

So i've installed a Rough Country 2.5" leveling kit (spacers) on the front of my 2011 ram. Now i'm looking into the biggest tires I can fit. I am thinking 33" but If i can push into 35's, why not? hehe

I am looking at BF Goodrich KO2's (hopefully 35 inches max?) My truck currently has 17" FRD HD Series FRD-TR2-black rims/wheels. It seems that there are 35 inch tires available for said rim, but I would like some input as to what you guys think?

Would spacers be needed if i put 35 inch tires? I am looking into a lift kit, but currently, I don't have the budget for it. That's in about a 1-2 year plan. So right now, the plan is to get it to look "meaner" for the meantime. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!
Just for information, I have a 2019 1500 Classic and I put the same levelling kit in the front, and I put 12.5/35R20 on my truck and have no clearance issues. Mine has the factory 20" black wheels with no spacers. I have the Ram moulded mud flaps on it also, and the tires don't rub on them either. I se some people suggesting 33's because they look better - I guess I am old school- the more tire sidewall the better. I hate the look of even my tires because of the 20 inch wheels - 35 inch tires that have only a bit of sidewall because the wheels are 20's. I like the look of what I have always liked - 15" wheels with 35's, then you have some tire. That is just my opinion, and I am like you - if I had lots of money I would lift my truck and install 37's or 40's - but it isn't in the budget. 35's with a levelling kit fit no problem on mine. Hope this helps, and thanks for listening.

My 2019 1500 Classic with just a levelling kit in the front handles 12.5/35R20's with no problem. I didn't put anything in the rear for lift, just the front levelling kit. I have been in some pretty sloppy spots, and even going angle through big holes, and even with the Ram moulded mud flaps it doesn't rub at all. Full lock to lock and they don't hit. To me the more sidewall the better, and 35's aren't "overstuffed" in the wheel wells at all.
