I am getting ready to order 35x11.50r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers and I am unsure whether this size (34.76 x 11.42) will fit for sure on the stock wheel without contacting the UCA's. Has anyone else put 35's on their stock 17" wheels?

Anyone?

I have 275/60r20 KO2's on there now with the OEM Chrome Clad 20x8 wheels but I hate the chrome and I got a set of OEM 17's (17x7) for really cheap so want to use them if I can.

I know the offset of the chrome clad 20's is 19.05mm and the 17's are 25.4mm which will suck the tires in a little closer (0.6"). I have 1" of clearance currently between the UCA and the sidewall of the tire with stock size KO2's on the 20" wheel.

Cant find very many people using the oem 17" alloy wheel and going to 35's

This guy is running 315/70/17's on factory Rebel wheels with no rubbing on the factory UCA.
It's close though
This was stock, and then i think spacer lift front and rear if i remember correctly, no aftermarket uca, and no wheel spacers.

Got the tires put on and they do fit with plenty of clearance between the tire and UCA. I am not 100% I like the look of the tires, there is a lot of rubber lol. What are your opinions?

Looks great! I've always been a fan of the 17" wheel with over sized tires.

I think it looks ok, see how it feels when hitting the brakes hard while in a bend/turning and also when hitting a bump while in a bend.

When I had 285/70/17's on my 17x7 stock wheels, it just felt squirrelly under those situations - the wheel was moving in the center of the tire due to sidewall flex.
I could easily simulate it by pushing the truck side to side and see how much the wheel squirmed and flexed the side wall.

@UpInSm0kE, I'll be going to something similar when my current Coopers wear out (unfortunately I think will be a while longer). I'm aiming for 35x11.5x17 Toyo AT3. I like the look of more side wall, but more than that I really like the absorption and protection they provide. I'm not an aggressive driver however, so poor handling is not a problem for me. But rolling over curbs, logs, etc. with impunity is kind of a nice ability.

How is your setup holding up these days? What suspension is shown here? I'm running Bilstein 5100s front and back with the fronts set to 2.1" lift, so 35x11.5 should fit no problem. That's the advantage of an 11.5" wide tire if you're going with 35"s. Come on Coopers, wear out!

For reference: LT285/70R17 Cooper ATPs on 17x8 Rebel wheels:IMG_20210921_073314888.jpg
