I have a 2003 Ram 5.7l Hemi, Quad cab, Short bed. The transmission was replaced at 12,000 miles. Then another at 21,000 miles. The truck has a little over 46,000 at the moment. My problem is when the truck shifts from second to third it clunks and if I let off the gas while it is in second it will make a funny chirping noise every now and then. My question is, Is there a manual transmission that will work, and a kit to make it fit correctly. I am also wondering if any of you have done this, and if you had any problems. Thanks!

You could get a manual trans out of an hd hemi but it's not a very performance oriented trans. Or a t56 which is an has been done on a few hemi rams. There's some threads floating around the other forums on a Fl guy tht did the swap on his 04
