I recently drove 400 miles from work to my home, and when I got into town, I was at a light, and I floored it, and when it switched to 2nd gear, it bogged down and lost all power. I let off the gas and it returned to normal, but when I floored it at the next light to see if it happened again, it did the same thing, but this time it sounded like it backfired, and resumed normally when I let off the gas. I've never had this happen before, and the engine has about 270k miles. I was told by one of my buddies it's an injector going out, but I'm not sure that's it. Does anybody have a reason this might be happening before I have to shell out some cash to get it looked at?
Thanks!
Kevin
