65RFE to 8HP70 Swap , Lifted Truck Edition!

Got to go around the block.

Doing the fill process, I burned the **** out of my finger putting the bolt back on the trans, the header cross pipe is perfectly in the way.

Not shifting how I want, but seems to go thru the gears with no issues. I just pulled the TCM file and sending it off to Flyin' Ryan today.

No Codes , but noticed a small drip so back on the lift to check the fittings.

Tried to do a Trans relearn with Alfa ODB, Wont work, emailed SGA about it and he confirmed this.

Filling it on a lift usually doesn't get the proper fluid level in the transmission unless you've somehow managed to level the pan rail.
I'm assuming you've seen these instructions,but here they are again,and leveling the 8 speed is mucho important.

@Wild one I know I suffer from extreme retardation but come on man ! LoL.. I wouldn't of burned my finger with the truck on the lift, instead I was on the ground like a ******* peasant...lol..

JBA crossover isn't too close is it?
Just wondering if there would be much of a difference between them and my ARH as far as clearance goes

I'm ashamed to say my 8 speed is still sitting in the garage, just trying to kill the ol 5 speed

I dont like the shift points right now at all, or how it performs. SGA said everything looked good in the LOG files.

So im thinking its a tuning issue, Been emailing back and forth with FRP and should have a new tune tomorrow !

I'm sure he'll get it dialed in. I was wondering if a Quicklearn could be done after the swap with Alfa, good to know now that it can't.
