My speedometer stopped working and it turned out to be the VSS. Bought a replacement from NAPA (Echlin brand). When I first start out driving the speedo reading can be up to 15MPH too low (via using a GPS phone app). After driving for 30-45 minutes the speedo to GPS difference lessens to only 1-2MPH.
The initial start out driving MPH difference is greater as the ambient temperature goes lower, less on a hot summer day.
Do I need to try a different brand VSS - suggestions on brand?
Thoughts?

My speedo isn't linear either. Mine reads 10km/h high doing ~50km/h. At 100km/h I'm nearly right on. I did change the cluster and no change. I run 33" tires.

I don't worry about it anymore.
