Just curious what the consensus is with the AC in these trucks? I have a 14 1500 and the AC just isn't up to par with my last Sierra or my dads Tundra. I did read somewhere that "this is normal" came from the dealership.

Don't get me wrong, it's cold, it's just not AS cold as I'd expected for being a "new" truck.

Thanks!

Mine takes a little while to get going, but eventually it freezes me out. I have a 15 minute commute and about 7-10 minutes in, i'm dialing down the chill factor and lowering the fan speed.

Just put some ice cubes on ur dash vents... prob solved.

How hot is it where you are? Above 100 and the AC isn't spectacular.. mine gets pretty damn cold tho. I've never had it weak enough to notice it.

What cab do you have? My CC takes about 5 minutes to get very comfortable on a hot day which I assume is because the space it has to cool down. Once it is up to par I find I have to cut fan speed and sometimes even cut temp.

Mines cold, but it does take a while to cool down. The crew cab has lots of space and if the rear vents blew more air that would help.

I do have the crew cab and to it's defense it is 110 here. However, the other two trucks I mentioned are in the same weather.

I was just curious though, I may take it in since I have a couple recalls to take care of and just mention it and see what they say!

I love the ac. Blows ice cold after you get it moving. Beats the Arizona heat easily. Don't even take the wife's car anywhere because the rams is better

Yeah man, don't get me wrong, it's cold. It's just not as cold as multiple other cars and trucks I've owned and/or lived with.

Honestly, GM has the best air of the domestic trucks.

I wrapped my lines with aluminum tape and it's so cold it almost burns to the touch coming out of the vents.

I would say that my '15 QC A/C runs cold, but it's the volume of air that is the let down. It just doesn't blow very strong unless it's full blast.

My new 2500 seems a little weak to me also but eventually it does cool down to comfortable level. Just my old Wrangler and FJ blows ice cubes compared to my ram.

I live in Texas and have to use my remote start to get the ac started cooling down before I get in the truck. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get cold enough that I can turn down the fan speed, its about the only thing I dont like about the truck. My previous two vehicles a 2013 Challenger RT and a 2010 Tundra both had way betters ac systems.

I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of this myself.
