Got a question.... after I put the Bilstiens on the front set at 2.1 I am left with about .75 inches of rake which looks perfectly level to me and I like it. BUT I just looked at a picture I took when I had my boat hooked up to the truck and .75 inches doesn't seem to be enough to not make me look nose high when towing.

Can different shocks in the back help keep the trailer weight from lowering the back of the truck so much? I don't want to lift the back because I love the way it looks when not towing.

Any advice?

This is my set up description below
My stock rake had a difference of 2.5" I essential raised the truck 2" and kept the rake the same
I tow a trailer about 3000lb and the truck dropped about 1" in the rear
you could use adjustable air bags so you only add height when towing your boat

Some gratuitous pics Next to My 5.9L and a buddies stock Chevy

Front Bils set at 2.1 (no Cv vibrations in 4x4) rear springs are Superlift progressive rate springs supposedly to be 2" over stock and Tires are Nitto 275/65/20 (34") on stock rims no rub anywhere under any condition
The My Red Dodge 2500 5.9L you see in the pic is running 295/75/16 (33". something)
over all the Ram is bigger that the Dodge at the Hood, roof, tire. The door sills and wheel well heights a slightly higher as well are higher on the Dodge
Though I would have sworn otherwise if they were not side by side
I need to get rear Bils for a 2 in lift
I see they have for 0-1 then they go right up to 4"
does anyone know the part number for the correct set
The stock shocks are stretched to the end
next mods are a Vararam intake other suggestions appreceiated

Hooking the boat up this afternoon so we will see if it squats enough to notice. Also I have always kept my boat pretty far up on the trailer which I'm sure adds some additional tongue weight so going to test moving it further back to see if that helps.

Back of truck is exactly 1 inch lower than the front with the trailer hooked up

This is beautiful. Have you experienced any rubbing at all?

Thank you and no rubbing what so ever. Haven't had an opportunity to take it off road yet though.

So I finally got the Bilsteins on my truck. Wasn't too bad of an install just compressing the spring when taking apart the struts is sketchy AF. Anyways, my truck originally had Rancho Quicklifts on it and they were nice, but didn't give the lift I wanted.

Before: With the quicklifts it measured 39" from the ground to the middle of the fender.

After: Bilsteins at 2.8 and it measures 40.5"

So that's a gain of 1.5" and it looks absolutely perfect. All I need now are 35's

Nice! What size are your current tires? I kinda like what you're already using, my friends went up to 35 but I prefer the appearance of the gap you got from staying a size down from that.

Thanks! they are 275/65r20 Cooper ST Maxx's

I'm more of a fan of the stuffed look myself but I picked these tires up before I even leveled the truck lol

Got exactly 1.5", which I attribute to the new Warn Ascent winch bumper

Zero rubbing. Actually there is a ton of clearance. Could easily go to a larger tire size but I do a ton of highway driving and I have 3.55 gears
