Anyone ever count their gear Ratio?

but, 31" tall tire, 3.92 gears in a OD tranny is 1784 rpms.

1. jack-up rear
2. mark drive shaft
3. mark tire
4. rotate tire 1 time, counting the turns of the drive shaft.

If you have 3.60 then the shaft will turn around 3 and a half times or so. If you you have 3.92, then shaft should turn just a tad under 4 turns.

But here is what I have.

They're gonna measure short if the vehicle is on the ground and you're measuring up and down. The weight of the truck will cause the bottom of the tire to flatten. Try measuring left to right..

Although same size tires from different manufactures will always measure slightly different..

Yes it can be that much.... My last tires I had said 33 but they only stood 32.3

Yea but these should be 33 and measure 31. Ill check it horizontal

Ol so horizontal they are a 32. So what does that change my ratio to?
