So i bought the Black Edition RAM badges from Dodge and just installed them. I opted to go this route instead of plastidip as I hate that crap and if you have read any thread regarding it I have always had somthing negative to say about it :). ANYWAYS. I feel these are shineyer and will last longer than spraying them.

I plan to black out the headlight housings and get some laminex to smoke out the tails, and fogs (the lightest smoke they have, nothign stupid black). I also plan on debadging the "RAM 1500" and covering the face of the "HEMI" badge on the fender black to complete it all. I just hope once I'm done my chrome rims wont look weird or I'll have to figure out to do with those. as much as I HATE to paint them. I may look into getting them powder coated High Gloss Black.

Let me know what you guys think.

It would be sweet if I found a set of black edition ram wheels. I think it would be easier to just have my plastic covers painted gloss black. But, there is that stupid lip that would still be silver that counter sinks the plastic cover.. Anyone want to trade wheels?? lol

I think im going to attempt to remove the "RAM 1500" today.. ugh...

Looking good! So it's ok to completely black out a white truck but a blacked out black truck is over done? Lol, your following suite with white, BUT I like it :)

As for de-badging, it's simple. I've always used fishing line and wd40/goof off, works like a charm. I left the HEMI on my RCSB. You going this route?

Also Dave dont forget I have a Quad Cab so its tough to make it look bad ass. For some reason it flowed with the Ram Charger package and I dont want to take the flow away with a bunch of black accents where my chrome wheels just look out of place and black wheels will look like crap as it may take the sportyness
away from it..

My new delema is now that the front ram is black it kind of throws off the head lights, so I get black headlights and it may not look good with chrome wheels.

I wish i could find a pic of a white QC with chrome 20's and blakc headlights so see if it looks weird

Yep, I haven't forgotten you have a QC... Maybe someone can photo shop the changes onto your truck, and you can see what it looks like?? If I had more PS skills I would do it for you, but I am not that good.

BTW, in the above picture, those headlights are crystal clear. The black housing gives them that smoked look, but they are not smoked. I have those exact headlights. My favorit thing about them is there is no yellow at all. :)
