Building my second True Blue Pearl Ram Sport

I find it funny that it only took me about a month to get most of the work done to my truck, but it’s taken me almost three months to start the build thread. Oh well. Here we go.

This is my second True Blue Pearl RAM Sport. The first one I bought was a 2012 on a dealer lot, 4x2 mildly optioned. It was my first RAM and I loved it. I was forced to get rid of it in 2013 and it took a while before I could get another truck. While I was waiting I developed the plan for the new project. It started with a factory order submitted on 14 Mar 2015:

MSRP: $54,355
Price out the door after tax title and license: $47, 837

While my truck was going down the line in Michigan I was getting daily updates from a member on the other RAM Forum so I know It was built on 4 Apr 15 and left the plant on 7 Apr. When my truck started its journey West , I Sent a small with list over to Moe’s Performance and within two days I had a stack of parts waiting for the truck to arrive. I can’t say enough about Moe’s Performance. Exceptional service and very competitive pricing!! Thank you Moe’s!!

The truck arrived at the dealer on 22 APR. I was there to meet the truck.

Time for detail
The truck showed up in pretty good shape.

After a couple of hours while watching them like a hawk, we started PDI. (The detailers by the way scuffed the RAM BOX lid and a mirror cover with those friggin wood handled brushes they use)

11 Miles on the odometer which included the 2 mile round trip to fill up the tank.

After getting some lunch with son and my new truck I drove it home and started modding immediately. First mod – BT Catch Can (From Moe’s). 23 miles on the Odometer.

After that the vinyl between the doors came off and this wrapped up Day 1 of my Build.

Day 2 (Did I mention I had a plan)
The following morning it was off to Socal Suspension the BDS 6’’ lift. While I was waiting I decided to fool around in the back checking out the tonneau, factory bedliner, and the cool cargo extender.

Day 3
They finished it in a day but when I picked it up it was dark so this is on Day 3 before going to the tint shop.

Day 4
Day 4 began with the Vararam Install and Moe’s 87mm TB

I think the orange is a nice contrast

I finished up Day 5 with installation of the AMP Research Powerstep. The holes for the step mounts were pre-drilled on the truck. That was a nice surprise.

Then came exhaust work. Flowmaster Super40 with the resonators deleted.

While all this was being done my Bushwhacker flares were being painted! This is also when I debadged because the HEMI emblem had to be moved. Door emblems are history!!

I was super busy the first week. I even took time off work to get it finished. Since then I have added several little things.

KC 20 ‘’ Light Bar and Tow hooks. Kept the molding in place. Took me a few times to get it right. I’m glad that piece is cheap!

I wanted a dark housing so it would blend it better.
