Hi All

So, after a week on evening shift and driving home in the dark I’m going to change bulbs truck is a 2018 ST 5.7 plain jane headlight, all prepared to pull units out to get bulb sizes as my local store doesn’t have a list for them. Thought I would give a shout here 1st to save having to do job twice so 1st question is what model are the bulbs for High and Low beams and 2nd recommendation for halogen as I’m not going the LED route thanks in advance

High beam and low beam bulbs are 9005 base bulbs.

As far as halogen you have a few choices such as the Sylvania Ultra Star, Putco Pure Halogen or PIAA Extreme White amongst others.

High beam and low beam bulbs are 9005 base bulbs.

I think the low beams on the quad headlights are still H11 The high beams are 9005. I don't think the bases are close enough to modify a 9005 to fit an H11??

I have Sylvania ZXEs in my lows and went LEDs in the highs(from AutoLED Corp). If you don't want LEDs, the 9011 HIR1 to 9005 conversion will give you brighter high beams.

projector headlights use 9005 in both starting with 2016 model years, before that it was 9012 in the lows

I use the 9011 HIR bulbs in my highbeams and there is a noticeable difference in light output.

Run a set of 9011's in the highs, H9's in the lows and a set of 9012's in the fogs if your truck has them. Each bulb upgrade will take a little modifying, compare the new to old side by side and you'll see where to trim. I did this upgrade a few moths ago now and it made a big difference while maintaining the long life of standard output light bulb.

My 16 Rebel and 17 Sport both came with 9005 bulbs in the low and high beam profectors. Which I eliminated with HID,s in the low beams.
