About a year ago I purchased a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 L in Bellingham WA from the local Rairdon Chrysler/Dodge dealer. It had 33,xxx miles. During the final sales discussion I was pressed to purchase an extended warranty. Asking why, I was told the vehicle was from Canada. I couldn't tell anything from the outside. The spedo was in MPH, and mileage was in miles and no licence plate. As it turns out, even if the vehicle was made in the USA, if the vehicle is first sold in Canada, the warranty is no longer valid when registered in the US. So I got screwed out of the remaining bumper to bumper warranty and the extended engine drive train to 60,000 miles. Obviously the vehicle avlue was less than a USA vehicle, even though they are the same. When I complained to Dodge USA, they said it wasn't warrantied and they said the issue had nothing to with them. BUYER BEWARE. Dealers are always finding new ways to screw a buyer. Rairdon of Bellingham is a dishonorable, unprofessional dealership that takes advantage of unknowledgeable buyers. Did you know that Canadian vehicles are not warrantied in the US?? Let me know if you did. Bottom line is buy a Chevy or Ford.
