c e l is on, solid, but code reader does not detect any codes

My CEL came on and stayed on but when I plug in my actin code reader, it says code's not detected, any idea what this could be?

Probably a c- code, you need a better scanner to read these. Try the ole battery disconnect for 20 minutes and see if it goes away

weirdly the CEL went off after about 48 hours and hasn't come back since, next time I'll get a better code reader

For under a hundy the bluedriver reads all codes. Not the best fir all live data but works well enough

You can read engine codes right off your dash.You can also get total engine hours, do a gauge cluster check and get c codes.
