Hello, new to the forum got a 2019 5.7 Laramie. Check engine light came on had a code for cylinder 2 and 8 misfire. Disconnected the battery. Changed all spark plugs on that bank (looking at the engine all on the left side). Reconnected battery and went on about the day the light was off. Then got back home and the light was back on. Any ideas of where to go it’s the same code again.

You can use the search function, many posts on this. Many led to lifter/cam. You can swap ejectors with good ejectors that aren't throwing a code and see if the code changes or cut to the chase and perform a compression check on cylinders 2 & 8.

FYI, if it is the lifter/cam, reseting the CEL and driving it until the CEL comes back on is just putting more metal from the lifter/cam into the engine and possibly destroying the engine and then not be able to just change the lifter/cam if that turns out to be the problem.
