Check Engine light

2017 Ram 2500 5.7 had Check engine light on. Tried to remove fuse etc., but there was no fuse in F72 the location shown on the PDC for the PCM. Disconnected battery and CEL went away. But, I'm told the computer will show the code when I go the the Inspection station and there is a way to clear those codes. Help please on clearing those codes. Thanks

You need to scan for the code first. Make the repair. Then the emission monitors will check to get through inspection.
What is the code(s)?

I got a code reader on amazon for $20 that allows me to delete codes. If your battery reset what enough to make it go away and stay away then the 20$ to clear the code(s) should have you good to go.
