I have a friend...really I do...that has a Charger. He had black racing stripes on a silver car, he tried taking the stripes off and they left a black residue, how can he get that off? Any ideas? Thanks!

3M adhesive remover is the best, but goo-gone or WD40 will work in a pinch.

Since it's not the foam backing of a badge, I wouldn't go as far as using a wheel. I have a wheel and I love it, but it's got its place and IMO this isn't it.

Doing it with adhesive remover and a MF towel will impart much less damage to the paint.

The 3m adhesive remover works great. I wrapped my wheels in 3m vinyl once and when I removed it, it left a awful amount of the glue. I bought some of the adhesive remover. I poured a good amount on a micro fiber rag and wiped it on the glue. Let it set and soak in and it came right off.

I also agree with the 3M Adhesive Remover.
The stuff in a black can with red > white can with red.

I'd have to go home to get the PN, but they have 2 different ones.
Black can is some strong ****.

Well I guess I am not convinced its glue, I didn't look at it super closely, but you can still see the faint black from where the stripe was, is it common for the black to bleed on to the glue like that? Thanks.

Well everyone has goo gone or WD40. Soak part of the stripe and see what it looks like afterwards.

Allowing the product to dwell is the most important part. It's like trying to wash a lasagna pan after it's soaked all night; **** wipes right off.
